Picture of the week: Tall View of North Carolina Corn

This picture was submitted by Joe in eastern North Carolina. Corn pictured on June 18th, looks great from this shot in the air about 10-14 days before tassel. Although corn planting was severely delayed across the U.S. this spring, warm and humid weather has got the crop condition improving. Specifically in North Carolina, both corn and soybean crops are maturing ahead of the historical average, according to the most recent USDA Crop Progress Report.
