This picture comes from just outside of Rosholt, South Dakota. The picture was taken immediately following an afternoon thunderstorm that the sunset produced a magnificent rainbow from. The pot of gold at the end of this rainbow could be the wheat field itself with the extreme increase in wheat prices over the past few weeks, because of a poor Russian wheat crop. Wheat prices increased by 60 cents yesterday on news that Vladimir Putin put a hold on Russian wheat exports due to the projected low yields. Warm dry weather has hurt Russian wheat crops, and has been blamed for many fires in the region.
