Picture of the week: Nicollet Tower in Sisseton, South Dakota

This picture comes from Sisseton, South Dakota. Wheat harvesting has kept farmers busy in the area. The crops are looking great ever since the 1.5” of well needed rain last week . This view is from the top of Nicollet Tower just west of Sisseton, South Dakota. From the top, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota can be seen.

Here is some information about the tower according to Sissetonmuseums.org:

Climb to the top of Nicollet Tower for a breathtaking three-state view. The observation tower honors Joseph N. Nicollet, the French mapmaker who explored the Coteau Des Prairies in the 1830's.

Remember, we are always looking for more agricultural pictures from anywhere in the world.
